Head out of Sivota and head to the Submarine Cave on Meganisi Island. On your way around the island, stop off and swim at some spectacular beaches. When you get to the other side of Meganisi there are so many little inlets, restaurants and bars you can moor up at. Our favourite restaurant is Erikos which is in the capital Vathy. You will need to book IN ADVANCE a fair bit as its incredibly popular.

Full of the most beautiful beaches - emerald green water, crystal clear water, goats rock hopping and a lunch at George's or Varka .
Georges is a traditional taverna - good quality and has a good marina to moor up at. Varka is a gorgeous location, quaint and has become really popular and it can be a nightmare mooring when its busy.
Varka – Kalamos Island
Good Greek food with little modern twist. Has good mooring. Must book in advance

Atakos is the now famous 'Piggy Island'. Amazing clear water in the bay where the pigs live - great to see - just don't feed them - they riot!
Head for the island of Ithaca for lunch to a village called Kioni - its very gorgeous and has some lovely traditional tavernas to dine at and you can easily moor up there.
Following lunch, head to Frikes - a gorgeous bay for a final swim. Try and pick a day where the weather is good - the wind coming back from Ithaca in the afternoons can whip up and make the trip back long and wet!

This is a trip where you must ensure you have very low wind. If you are lucky enough to get a low wind day, this is well worth it - a long one but beautiful. Porto Katsiki has incredible deep blue water and dramatic cliffs - the sun comes around there around 10.30-11 am. Getting there before may enable you a good spot to moor up as they are limited, but it really is only truly at its best when the sun shines on the water.
Kefalonia for lunch at Fiscardo - lots of waterfront tavernas and easy to moor up.
After lunch head to the dramatic and incredible beaches at Ithaca.
It is a big trip, so you must make sure the wind is on your side, otherwise its a long wet slog.
